before Virgil Abloh joined team Swoosh, long-time Nike collaborator Hiroshi Fujiwara was working on his own version of the iconic “The Ten” collection. While fate had other plans for him, he has now taken to Instagram to reveal what could’ve been the fragment design x Air Jordan 3 “The Ten”.
A silhouette that the Off-White founder has yet to work on, Fujiwara gave the AJ3 a full premium upgrade. painted in a stealthy grey and black palette, it’s decked out in panels of supple suede with glamorous leather surrounding the mudguards. Perforated elements make their way to the lacing system and ankle, adding depth to the understated design.

Moving downwards, you’ll be presented with an all-black Nike Air midsole complete with technical verbiage just above the bubble, and to round it all off, fragment’s signature thunderbolt motif is finely debossed at the back, finalising the shoe.
While it’s safe to say that the fragment design x Nike Air Jordan 3 “The Ten” will never ever get a release, it’s interesting to see what could have been. samples like this and the fragment design x Nike Air Max 1 “The Ten” down below showcase how different both designers’ aesthetics are, and we’d love to see a proper release sometime in the future. let us know if you’d grab a pair, and in related news, the Air Jordan 3 “Cool Grey” from 2007 is making a comeback!
